Fees

Short version: sports 0.25%. Most other markets 1%. Withdrawals 0.15%. Card deposits 0.5%. Crypto deposits and gas are free.

TL;DR

Celsa's fee sits on top of Polymarket's own exchange fee. Cashback gives you 5–30% of our fee back, depending on your tier. Net cost on a sports trade at Syndicate tier is well under 0.2%.

Trade fees by category

CategoryCelsa feeWhen charged
Sports / esports0.25%Buy and sell
Fee-disabled markets0.50%Buy and sell
Crypto, politics, weather, other1.00%Buy and sell

Sports get the cheaper rate because vig-sensitive bettors notice every basis point — anything close to 1% on top of Polymarket's sports fee would push us to the high end of the category. Fee-disabled markets (rare; Polymarket sets these on promotional events) get the halved rate so the all-in cost still feels reasonable.

How the trade fee works

The fee comes out of your order amount before submission. A $100 trade on a regular market: $99 hits the book, $1 is the Celsa fee. A $100 sports trade: $99.75 to the book, $0.25 to fees. Cashback returns a slice of that fee to your wallet based on your tier — see the cashback page.

Claim fee

When a market resolves and you redeem winning shares for $1 each, we take the same per-category rate from the payout. Cashback applies the same way it does on trades.

Card deposits — 0.5%

Buying USDC with a card via MoonPay funds your trading wallet automatically. The 0.5% covers auto-conversion plus the gas sponsorship new accounts get on their first few trades. Crypto deposits (USDC, USDC.e, or pUSD sent directly) are free.

Withdrawals — 0.15%

Same rate across same-chain Polygon and every cross-chain destination we support (Solana, Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, BSC, Avalanche, Bitcoin via Jumper). Cross-chain bridges charge their own fee + slippage on top — that goes to the bridge, not us.

Polymarket's own exchange fees

Polymarket charges a per-market fee that's already baked into the prices you see on the book. You pay it whether you trade through Celsa or polymarket.com directly. Rough averages at the midpoint:

CategoryPolymarket fee
Sports~0.75% at midpoint
Crypto~1.8%
Politics~0.5%
OtherVaries

Our 0.25–1% sits on top of that, which is why the all-in cost matters more than the raw Celsa rate. Net costis what you actually pay after cashback — for a Syndicate-tier trader on sports, that's 0.25% × 0.7 = 0.175% per side.

Gas

You don't need POL. Trading is gasless via Polymarket's relayer. Auto-gas tops up a small POL float on your wallet from our faucet whenever you need it for the rare on-chain action the relayer doesn't cover (mostly: certain withdrawal paths on the legacy Safe-vintage wallets).
